Charitable Events

Ride the Rockies

Every year since the company was formed, RJC has raised money for The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado by getting sponsors and riding hundreds of miles through the mountains of Colorado. The Team Caption of the RJC Bike Nuts received special recognition in 1998 for riding tandem with a physically challenged rider enabling that rider to complete the entire 157 mile course.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

RJC built a winning team with clients in support of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by participating in the Colorado Corporate Ski Challenge. This event involved forming ski teams with consultants and clients and racing down the slopes in Colorado. This event raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for this worthwhile charity.

Colorado Youth at Risk

RJC supports the Colorado Youth at Risk program by volunteering time and money. This charity focuses on giving youth a positive role model and alternative activities to yield a better future.

Porter Care Foundation

RJC has donated computers and other material support for the Porter Care Foundation. This foundation provides a comprehensive continuum of services including pediatric and hospice services, Women’s Care programs, and resources to disabled individuals so that they may return to an independent life.

Warren Village

Warren Village is a housing/support project to help families move from dependence on welfare to financial independence. RJC consultants volunteer each holiday season to help make special programs and toys possible at Warren Village.

Computer Classic

The University of Colorado has a program to educate disabled individuals learn computer skills and gain employment. RJC volunteers time to educate, and test the individuals in this program. In addition, each summer a golf tournament is held called the Computer Classic. RJC is a key sponsor of this event, providing volunteer support and money to make this event possible.

Gold Crown Foundation

When public funding was removed for junior high school athletics, the Gold Crown foundation stepped in to fill the need. This charity enables over 6,000 junior high school to plan league basketball and baseball. RJC is providing money and services to Gold Crown to improve their communication through the internet.

Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix

Help them provide a safe atmosphere for kids of all ages to help them expand their horizons.

Benefiting the communities most critical health and human services needs.

Irving CARES, Inc.

RJC Dallas "adopts" families in need from Irving CARES, Inc. We support seven families with Holiday meals and gifts for their Christmas. Many families would not have any gifts, if not for the generosity of our great employees.

Junior Achievement of South Texas

RJC supports JA with both our business experience and technical expertise. Weekly, our RJC consultants volunteer in the classrooms sharing real-world business experience with kindergartners-through-twelfth grade. Business-wise, our Account Executive in San Antonio assisted in the development of a foundation response helping secure a $100,000 grant for the local JA chapter from MCI for technical education. Finally, our engineers assist in their daily NT networking, Exchange administration, an Internet benefits. RJC and JA are truly partners in Technical Education!

Leukemia Foundation of San Antonio

Assisting on an as needed basis on non billing days and weekends to improve network, add pc's, set up internet addresses and general training on MS Exchange and other applications. In addition, consultants contribute personal time to support and organize local fund raising activities.

Boerne Independent School District

Contribute personal time fund raising, school bond campaign, campus site based committees and fund raising.

Junior Achievement of San Antonio

RJC employees spend personal time for a 6 week period once a year to instruct grades K-12 in Junior Achievement extracurricular business/community subjects. This is in addition to Steve Claflin's description (above).
